When your mate comes to you for a chat. A chat you’ve had several times over the years, but this time it’s different, well, you listen….

James Turver or Jamie as I know him, has been a mate of mine since we worked together back in 2013 ish.

From a sales background but new to recruitment, we quickly hit it off.

I distracted him, he distracted me and a friendship was born 🙌

Two things stick in my mind which has become a source of friendly banter over the years:

1 – His love of ham sandwiches on white bread

2 – His polished attire, always looking good but often prioritising form over function, particularly with his fancy shoes that always got wet in the winter. 🤣 Should have gone to Clarks mate. I never have a wet feet 😆

He also went to school with Mrs Pamela Lloyd 😊 so there’s plenty of history.

We’ve talked about working together in business a few times over the years, but the timing or opportunity was never right.

Until now 🙌
